Local Cheap Eats in Sanur Bali You Need to Try

We’re always chasing those cheap, authentic eats that end up being more memorable than the fancy restaurants — the kind of places where the food is packed with flavour, the prices are ridiculously low, and you leave already planning your next visit.

Sanur is full of laid-back local warungs serving up incredible Balinese and Indonesian dishes without the tourist price tag, and after plenty of meals spent exploring the area, we’ve rounded up our favourite affordable spots. This guide proves you don’t need to spend big to eat seriously well in Bali.

always happy to wake up early for breakfast with Sanur's beach view

Warung Jawa Moro Seneng

Warung Jawa Moro Seneng is one of the best budget-friendly places to eat in Sanur. Meals are incredibly affordable, with large plates usually costing us only 15k–30k, often including a refreshing iced tea.

The setup is simple — just walk up to the counter, point to the dishes you want, and you’ll receive a card showing your total to pay afterwards. The food selection is huge, with everything from spicy curries and crispy fried beef to fresh vegetables, tempeh, tofu, eggs, chicken, fish, noodles, and vegetarian dishes.

Our standout favourites are the spicy chicken curry, crunchy fried beef, corn fritters, and slow-cooked vegetable dishes.

Don’t expect a fancy atmosphere, but if you want authentic Indonesian home-style food at local prices, this place is absolutely worth visiting.

Price: IDR 10,000 – 50,000

Located: Jl. Danau Poso No.27, Sanur

Opening Hours: 5:00AM – 12:00AM

Why we loved it: simple but tasty menu, cheapest we have found in Sanur.

i think we could have lived on their corn fritters alone!

Warung Kecil Infinity

While the location of Warung Kecil Infinity itself is fairly simple and set near the busy bypass road, the quality and flavour of the food easily make up for it.

The restaurant serves a fantastic range of authentic Indonesian dishes, including their popular nasi campur, where ready-made dishes are displayed at the counter for a quick and easy meal. They also offer a full menu if you prefer to order fresh.

The variety of vegetables, curries, rice dishes, meats, tofu, and tempeh makes it difficult to choose just a few items. We only paid IDR 40,000 for a full plate of mixed items.

We discovered this place close to our accommodation in Sanur and ended up returning multiple times during our trip — something we rarely do when travelling. The food was consistently delicious, full of traditional flavours without being overwhelmingly spicy!

The restaurant itself is spacious, with large communal tables, smaller seating areas, and a breezy outdoor terrace.

Price: IDR 25,000 – 70,000

Located:Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai No.279, Sanur

Opening Hours: 8:00AM – 10:00AM

Why we loved it: being able to pick from all the freshly cooked dishes on display, letting us try a little bit of everything in one meal.

we love the sweet red shutters at Warung Kecil Infinity
authentic delicious food for only a few rupiah's

Warung Stall Rainbow

Warung Stall Rainbow, located right in the heart of town,  offers all dishes cooked fresh to order, but keep in mind that many of them pack quite a bit of heat — if you prefer milder flavours, it’s best to ask for less spice when ordering!

We honestly enjoyed everything we tried, but some favourites were the tempeh, Nasi Goreng Ayam, Mix Nasi Ayam, and the delicious pork satay.

We only paid IDR 25,500 for the nasi goreng ayam and IDR 40,000 for the satay.

The restaurant itself is very small, with seating for only around 10 people, so you may need to wait for a table during busy times. That said, the food is absolutely worth it. Adding to the experience, the owner and her son are incredibly warm and welcoming, making the place feel even more special.

Price: IDR 25,000 – 60,000

Located: Jl. Danau Tamblingan No.154, Sanur

Opening Hours: 10AM – 10PM

Why we loved it: it’s cozy, intimate feel offering delicious local food

highly recommend the satay - the peanut sauce is amazing
the tiny interior has a hippy, reggae vibe

Warung Old Brick

Warung Old Brick, tucked away in a little back street located just a 10 minute stroll from Karang Beach, has a rustic island-vibe with amazingly cheap food and nightly live music.

Prices are super reasonable (cash only), and the menu delivers every time. Our personal favourites were the BBQ ribs, the satays and the fresh chicken salad. We only paid IDR 40,000 for their chicken salad and the BBQ ribs were IDR 85,000 which were served with vegetables and french fries.

Drinks are super cheap also. We paid IDR 29,000 for a fresh watermelon juice and all soft drinks were IDR 15,000.

The vibe is relaxed, and when the live music kicks in from 7–10pm, the whole place comes alive. It’s far cheaper than the main tourist strip, making it a great pick for travellers watching their budget.

What really makes Old Brick special is the team—genuine, friendly, and always on point with recommendations. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in, like a guest rather than a customer.

Price: IDR25,000 – 100,000

Located: Gg. Penjor Agung No.2, Sanur

Dutsburger

We stumbled across this little gem during one of our bike rides along the Sanur beach boardwalk, and it quickly became a favourite. Dutsburger, tucked just off the sand, is perfect when you’re craving a break from Indonesian food. Their burgers are consistently great—fresh ingredients, juicy patties, and surprisingly cheap.

We paid IDR 20,000 for the chicken cheeseburger with a homemade patty, IDR 35,000 for the beef‑and‑bacon burger, and only IDR 15,000 for fries. It’s a simple setup—plastic chairs, paper napkins—but the friendly staff and tasty food more than make up for it. Plus, you’re basically eating right on the beach.

Price: IDR 15,000 – 35,000

Located:Jl. Segara Ayu No.21, Sanur

Opening Hours: 11AM – 7:30PM

Why we loved it: homemade delicious juicy patties with a ‘no fuss’ attitude

Warung Anna

Warung Anna is a simple, no‑frills spot tucked down a quiet side street off Tamblingan—close enough to watch Sanur life go by, but far from the chaos. It’s small and unpretentious, but the food is fresh, authentic, and cooked to order by an Indonesian chef.

We always go back for the tuna curry: rich, full of flavour, loaded with fresh vegetables and served with rice for only IDR 60,000. On the chef’s recommendation we tried the chicken stir‑fry, and it was another winner—crispy honey chicken with plenty of sautéed onion and tomato.

Price: IDR 25,000 – 80,000

Located: Jl. Karang Sari No.2, Sanur

Opening Hours: 12PM – 10PM

Why we loved it: cozy family-run warung

Warung Amphibia Seafood

Warung Amphibia Seafood is Bali beachside BBQ at its best—freshly caught seafood grilled right in front of you and enjoyed with your toes in the sand. It’s unpretentious, great value, and captures the whole Jimbaran‑style experience without leaving Sanur.

The seafood is displayed on ice, from king prawns and tiger prawns to oysters, seabass, and local fish.

We picked a fresh fish and octopus from the cabinet, asked for the staff’s cooking recommendation, and went with it. Nothing fancy—plastic plates and all—but the flavours were spot on. Our fish came with sambal, rice, and spinach, and the octopus was perfectly cooked in a light garlic sauce.

Add a soft drink each, and the total came to just IDR 130,000 for both of us. Honest food, beachfront setting, and unbeatable prices.

Price: IDR 30,000 – 150,000

Located: Jl. Pantai Sindhu, Sanur

Opening Hours: 12PM – 9PM

Why we loved it: the freshest seafood enjoyed with out toes in the sand
