Where to Find Bintang Supermarket
Bintang Supermarket is located along the famous shopping strip of Jalan Raya Seminyak, right on the border where Seminyak meets Legian. This makes it incredibly convenient for anyone staying in either area, especially travellers based in Legian who often walk or scooter over to stock up on groceries, snacks, and alcohol.
The supermarket sits directly opposite the well‑known Warung Made and close to the intersection of Jalan Nakula, so it’s almost impossible to miss.
Parking and Opening Hours
If you’re arriving by scooter or car, Bintang Supermarket has parking available, which is a welcome bonus in such a busy part of Seminyak.
Bintang is open from 7 am until around 10 pm, giving you plenty of flexibility whether you’re picking up breakfast supplies early in the morning or doing a late‑night snack or souvenir run!
First Impressions: Bigger Than It Looks
When we first visited Bintang Supermarket, we honestly thought we’d be in and out in ten minutes. That idea disappeared the moment we stepped inside. What looks like a small neighbourhood store from the outside actually stretches across two levels and just keeps going. Aisle after aisle is packed with far more than you’d ever expect—groceries, snacks, toiletries, beach towels, SIM cards, Bali coffee, and even mobile phones.
The place is genuinely overflowing with everything you could possibly need: fresh produce, meat and seafood, frozen foods, household supplies, toys, home care, pet care and cakes. It’s the kind of supermarket where a quick stop turns into a full shopping mission.
Even when it gets busy, especially on weekends, the queues move quickly thanks to the huge number of staff.
What To Buy At Bintang Supermarket
1. Indonesian Snacks and Treats
The snack aisles are where Bintang becomes genuinely fun! Shelves are filled with Indonesian favourites and Bali‑grown coffee. It’s the perfect place to pick up edible souvenirs or stock up on snacks for day trips.
You can find:
Krupuk (prawn crackers)
Pia Legong and other local pastries
Indomie in every flavour imaginable
Local chocolates and sweets
Bali coffee (Kintamani, Bali Gold, Bali Kopi Tubruk)
2. Fresh Fruit & Vegetables
One of Bintang’s biggest strengths is its fresh produce section. The fruit and vegetables are some of the best you’ll find outside of traditional markets, with colourful displays of dragonfruit, mangosteen, rambutan, salak, and other tropical favourites. The herbs are fragrant, the greens are crisp, and the turnover is high enough that produce rarely sits around for long.
